MRCP PACES Course

As directed by the Joint Royal College of Physicians Training Board (JRCPTB), all Core Medical Training (CMT) Trainees are required to have MRCP by July 2011 to progress to Specialist Training (ST3+).  In order to assist trainees in this progression and to ensure that trainees receive the best possible support from the School of Medicine and the Peninsula Deanery a new initiative is being run by the Peninsula Deanery School of Postgraduate Medicine where we are delivering an MRCP PACES, 2 day training course.  Any trainee currently training within CMT is eligible to apply for a position on this course (details are provided below) free of charge.  The courses that we run are clinically orientated with numerous cases within:

  • Abdominal
  • Cardiology
  • Neurology
  • Respiratory

Expert tuition for Stations Two and Four is provided by our dedicated and well versed clinical team with teaching being provided for Station Five covering timings and common cases.  Much of the faculty within the Peninsula and who will be delivering the PACES course for the School of Medicie are current Royal College of Physicians examiners.

Information on the PACES examinations can be found on the MRCPUK website and on the JRCPTB website.

Places on these courses are limited so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Applications are considered on a first come first serve basis.
