The Assessment (RITA) Process
(including an appeals process for trainees issued with a RITA D or RITA E)
Specialist Registrars are formally assessed on an annual basis to confirm that they are progressing satsfactorily with their training. The review will chart a trainee's progress to date and will identify any specific training needs for the future.
The Assessment Process document details the standard requirements that the deanery expects each specialty to follow although each one will have their own standard documentation which will need to be completed.
An appeals process is also included for those trainees who have been issued with a RITA D or RITA E and wish to have this decision looked at again.
