Improving performance and well being through coaching
Coaching is a process whereby an individual is enabled to improve their well being and performance, and to ultimately fulfil their potential. This is done through the formation of a powerful working relationship with a coach, who enables the coachee to set and achieve meaningful goals. The process is underpinned by approaches grounded in established adult learning or psychological processes.
The South West Peninsula Deanery recognises the potential of coaching as a tool for facilitating the development and improving the performance of its trainees. As well as offering coaching training to all of its educationalists, the deanery employs a coach specifically for working with trainees. We are happy to accept referrals for coaching from trainees, or from their clinical or educational supervisors. If you would like to know more about how to refer yourself or a trainee to us, please take a look at our Coaching Referral Guidelines.
